Our collective focus is a call to phase out industrial animal agriculture and promote and actively pursue a just transition for a more equitable, humane and sustainable food system. We recognise that a just transition can only be achieved with the active involvement of women, youth, smallholder farmers, peasants, pastoralists, small-scale fishers, industrial farmers and workers, food workers, Indigenous communities and people of colour, among other impoverished groups. It must address inequality and achieve food sovereignty while addressing the climate drivers that create injustice.
 

Together, we advocate for a phaseout of industrial animal agriculture, fishing and aquaculture through a just transition to a climate-resilient food system that is locally and democratically governed, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, promotes biodiversity, protects animal welfare, empowers workers, and advances food sovereignty and food security. We focus on achieving this through stronger food system governance, promoting agroecological practices, and shifting toward diets within planetary and social boundaries.
